Valentine’s Day is a time when couples who usually hate each other express their love via the medium of chocolates and flowers.

Now Snapchat has given its users a new way to express their affections after a week which many of them spent grumbling about a controversial new update.

The app rolled out a few Valentine’s Day treats for lovelorn and loved-up people alike.

The first change you’ll notice has been made to Snap Map, which has been clobbered by Cupid’s arrow and will now show you heart-shaped trees, hearts, swan boats and a range of new ‘Actionmojis‘, which shows you what friends are up to.

When you get close to friends or family members on the Snap Map, both your avatars will be shown enjoying a heart-shaped pizza or gathering around a bunch of flowers.

You’ll also be able to add a variety of new filters and stickers to your Snaps to send to friends or add to a story.
