Ryan Gosling whispering in a woman's ear at the Oscars spawns a flood of new memes
So what WAS Ryan Gosling whispering in this woman’s ear? (Picture: ABC)

Ryan Gosling only has to breathe – or not eat his cereal – and the internet spawns another set of memes, gifs or Vines.

And now a whole new meme is being shared of the 36-year-old whispering in a woman’s ear at the Oscars, as people speculate on what the La La Land actor might have been saying to the startled looking fan.

It started when host Jimmy Kimmel invited some rather surprised looking tourists to the stage and began to introduce them to celebrities in the audience including Nicole Kidman and Ryan Gosling.

When the Place Beyond The Pines actor got up to introduce himself to a rather confused looking woman who was wandering down the aisle, the moment was caught on camera and a meme was born.

As Gosling whispered in the woman’s ear, she pulled a face that suggested the father-of-two had just dropped THE biggest bombshell of the night – perhaps that it was, in fact, Moonlight that won Best Picture and he knew all along?

We may never know what the actor was actually saying in that moment but, y’know, we can dream…

Some were sure he was talking about jazz because it is all he ever talks about these days:

Others thought things were hotting up between the pair:

While some geniuses made reference to his meme back catalogue with ‘Hey Girl’ inspired posts:

The star was nominated for Best Actor for his role as Sebastian in Damien Chazelle’s La La Land but lost out to Casey Affleck for his role in Manchester By The Sea.

Who wants an Oscar when you can be a meme, hey Ryan?
