Roy Keane admits he ‘would love’ to see Everton right-back Seamus Coleman join his former side Manchester United.
Coleman, 28, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent years after impressing for the Toffees.
And Premier League legend Keane believes a switch to United would benefit the Republic of Ireland international’s career.
‘I would love to see Seamus at Man United. It would suit him down to the ground,’ Keane said prior to Jose Mourinho’s EFL Cup victory over Southampton.
‘Obviously, he’s at a very good club in Everton. He isn’t getting any younger.
‘From a selfish point of view, from an Irish point of view, you want players like Seamus playing in the Champions League and getting a taste of football at that level.
‘Saying that, joining United might not mean Champions League at this moment in time.’
