Ryan Gosling might have missed out on the Oscar award for Best Actor for his role in La La Land. But what he can boast of is our very own award for having the same face.

Oscars 2017: Nominee Dev Patel thanks Metro for his big break

Same face as in on the red carpet, in photos, in films we’ve noticed that Mr Gosling seems to be fond of a particular facial expression.

A cheeky little smile-but-don’t-look-like-you’re-trying-too-hard type smile, accompanied with his piercing eyes almost like he’s smizing. A look so striking that Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell would be proud.

Of course we are not complaining because we like Ryan’s face.

And because of that, here are examples of times that the father-of-two’s famous face has been perfect for using in real life scenarios.

This is why we were super excited when Ryan G showed us that he is in fact capable of various facial expressions when he made so many incredible faces at the Oscars that will go down in meme history.

Like when he made this face on stage after finding out that La La Land – the film that he was the lead actor in- had NOT won Best Picture after it was announced that it had. Loosing out to the ground-breaking Moonlight.

Or this priceless face that the 36-year-old made when he realised that Casey Affleck had beat him, Denzel Washington, Andrew Garfield and Viggo Mortensen to the best actor award for his role in Manchester By The Sea.

His face basically said, ‘WAIT A MINUTE?’
