Matt LeBlanc says that the camaraderie between the presenters on Top Gear is key to the show’s longevity.

The show for car enthusiasts is returning for a brand new series – the show’s 25th in total – hosted by Matt, Chris Harris, Rory Reid and The Stig.

The team of petrol heads will go globe trotting once again, visitng Japan, USA, Portgual and…Guildford, to put vehicles to the test in a series of stunts.

But other than all the breathtaking locations and cars, it’s the friendship between Matt, Chris and Rory that keeps the show afloat, says actor LeBlanc.

He said: ‘The relationship between the presenters is a key part of it. That works so well for us because we all share a passion for cars.

Rory agreed, saying: ‘We get on so well because we all love cars. I’ve got motoring coursing through my veins, and I’ll be involved with it for as long as I live. The other two are exactly the same.

‘We might not all love the same cars – I might love one which Chris hates. But we all share a passion for the core subject of cars.

‘We can sit around and have conversations about cars for hours on end and speak with authority about why we like a particular model. That’s the key thing that brings us together.’
