Jurgen Klopp says he is preparing to do without Jordan Henderson for the visit of Arsenal to Anfield on Saturday.
Liverpool go into the game on the back of a terrible display against Leicester City and were without their captain Henderson for their latest loss.
Henderson was a miss in a side that failed to wise up to Leicester’s tried and tested gameplan and the midfielder is losing the battle to be fit for Arsenal’s visit.
‘It looks like he will not be ready for Arsenal,’ said Klopp after the Leicester game.
Arsenal (H) – Sat 4 Mar
Burnley (H) – Sun 12 Mar
Man City (A) – Sun 19 Mar
Everton (H) – Sat 1 Apr
Bournemouth (H) – Wed 5 Apr
Stoke City (A) – Sat 8 Apr
‘That’s how it looks but I’m not sure, we will see.’
Henderson suffered an injury in training over the weekend, but scans allayed fears he had broken a bone in his foot.
Liverpool have won just once in the league in 2017 with the defeat to Leicester the latest reminder of the Reds’ inconsistency after so easily brushing Tottenham aside two weeks ago.
