Justin Timberlake opened the Oscars with a very interactive, funky rendition of Can’t Stop The Feeling from his movie Trolls.
And surprisingly, almost all the stars at the ceremony could not resist dancing like they were at a school disco.
Timberlake appeared from the back of the auditorium at the Dolby Theatre and, approaching the stage, made sure to sing right next to his old Mickey Mouse Club co-star Ryan Gosling, who is nominated for Best Actor.
This did not make Gosling dance, sadly.
JT also gave a special shout-out to nominated actor Denzel Washington: ‘C’mon Denzel, you know the words.’ Does he, though?
Naturally Timbo also had a boogie with his wife Jessica Biel in the crowd because they’re so goddamn harmonious.
Sadly a lot of celebrities, some of whom deserve awards for things that aren’t dancing, joined in too.
Jeff Bridges opted for the Paso Doble hand clap.
Charlize Theron was gettin’ on down.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were bobbing up and down to alternate beats.
Taraji P. Henson was going full karaoke.
And then there was… Sting. Doing Sting.
So far awards have gone to a variety of movies, including Suicide Squad, Fences, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, Hacksaw Ridge, Arrival and Moonlight.
