It was a big night for ITV – with both series premieres of Broadchurch and David Walliams’ new programme, The Nightly Show. But what did everyone think?

Broadchurch series three: What did everyone think of the first episode?

The Nightly Show was billed as an entertainment show featuring ‘a high tempo mixture of topical monologue, studio games, celebrity guests, stand up and VT’s’.

And there were even some skits from David – including one where he crashed Donald Trump’s press conference.

In the first episode, guests Martin Clunes and ventriloquist Nina Conti joined the Britain’s Got Talent judge for a chat and a giggle.

Martin made us all blush when he read out some very saucy fan-fiction about his show Doc Martin, and Nina entertained everyone with her puppet monkey, Monk.

But what did everyone tuning in at home think?

Not everyone was impressed with Martin Clunes

In fact, some people hated the whole show, full stop

But it wasn’t all bad – some people really loved the series opener

But maybe this Tweet summed everyone’s thoughts up best
