If you’re holidaying in Malia at the end of this month, stay away from Jake Tolliver.
You’ll be able to spot him a mile off – as he’ll be parading around in a T-shirt made by his partner, Korie Hayward, 18.
Korie designed the t-shirt, which features a picture of herself on the front with the words: ‘If you can read this then you’re too close so stay away’ sprawled across it, for Jake, 22, to wear on a lads’ holiday in front of all of his friends.
The back of the t-shirt also showcases Korie – this time with the couple’s four-month-old daughter Emmy-Rose in the picture, too, with the caption: ‘I love my girls and hate all the girls in Malia.
While some may think the T-shirt is a little out there, Korie insists it’s just a joke – but it was one that took Jake a while to see the funny side of.
‘He wasn’t happy about it to begin with,’ explained Korie.
‘But a little later he said it was pretty funny and that he would put it on,’ said Korie, from Withywood, Bristol.
Korie says the idea for the shirt came after seeing another woman create a similar one while scrolling through the internet.
She enlisted the help of her sister’s friends and immediately set to with to print the photos and messages onto a white tee.
Apparently, Jake was in the minority by not instantly being amused by the joke.
‘Everyone thought it was absolutely hilarious,’ Korie said.
‘I mean some people said I was a psycho but I think most people know it is a joke.’
To prove that it’s just a joke, Korie says that she wouldn’t even mind if Jake left the shirt at home – though it looks as though he will be packing it in his suitcase – for his friends’ amusement.
‘Jake’s friends think it is really funny and they have messaged me to say that they want to take selfies in it,’ said Korie.
‘The ironic thing is that he will probably get more attention now!’
