While most of us chumps are paying our hard-earned money to fly over to Malta to up our Instagram game, there’s now a way to do it for free.
If you want to travel the entire world for free, it’s all about using credit cards cleverly – but Europe? There’s a simpler way to do it.
A travel company is offering two all-expenses-paid trips across Europe in return for vlogging, Snapchatting, blogging and Instagramming the whole experience.
We’re not talking about a brief holiday, either, but a five month trip – so that’s a whole lot of Europe you could end up exploring.
Sure, you could see the Renaissance cities of Italy, but have you visited the castles of Romania before?
Busabout has two ‘positions’ – that of a brand ambassador and a video producer – and you can even apply with a friend and (potentially) end up travelling together.
The brand ambassador role is apparently ideal for a ‘social media junkie’ with a knack for story telling and confident in front of a lens – so if you’re YouTuber, it’s probably worth a shot – and if you get it, you’ll spend your time finding new activities and locations, learning about the history of Europe and sharing your experiences with your followers.
Or if you fancy your hand at being a video producer, you’ll know your way around a camera and know how to edit video content already, and use the trip to create original content for different social media channels.
For free spirits, the flexibility of the trip will appeal as you can create your own itinerary – so if untouched countryside in Switzerland or parties in Berlin is your scene, you can pick.
To apply, you need to tell Busabout why you’re the right person for the job and submit a YouTube video revealing a little bit about yourself and your favourite travel location.
If you’re after the brand ambassador position, Busabout also wants you to post about it on Instagram along with the tags #BusaboutAmbassador and @BusaboutEurope.
And if you’re after the video producer role, you simply need to list the gear and software you’ll need to make it work.
Visit the Busabout website to apply, which must be done before Sunday 5 March.
