What is it about pizza that makes it so special?
Maybe it’s the deliciously crunchy base. Or the juicy cheesy topping. And let’s not forget the delectably crisp crust. Altogether, it’s a king of foods.
There’s not a person in their right mind who doesn’t like a slab of pizza, in all its oily goodness.
So when some health nut went on a pizza shaming rampage on Twitter, there was only one way it was going to go.
Naija Gym Blog – an account which promotes ‘good health & fitness with motivational quotes’ tweeted some hard-hitting, seriously researched pizza facts.
They claimed that having two slices of the stuff was akin to ‘swallowing three spoons of warm oil’.
And then they asked how that fact made people feel about eating pizza.
Which went down like a sack of sh*t. Half of the people on Twitter probably consider pizza to be a food group in its own right.
So they weren’t here for some pious healthy eater shaming them for their margherita habits.
