Andrea McLean reveals that somebody objected to her wedding during the ceremony

Loose Women host Andrea McLean has revealed that her recent wedding to Nick Feeney almost didn’t go ahead.

As is traditional, the wedding ceremony paused briefly to allow for any objections to the marriage, and instead of the awkward, pregnant pause with scattered laughter which typically ensues, someone actually objected.

But as you’ll know from the wedding pics, the star did end up tying the knot, so just what went down?

Andrea explained that it was her close friend, the photographer, Nicky Johnston –  who was also a witness – that jokingly pretended to object.

And the photographer captioned his own photo of the wedding on Instagram with: ‘The day I nearly ruined @andreamclean1’s wedding @loosewomen.’

Andrea explained on Loose Women: ‘I have known him for 20 odd years and I asked him to be my photographer, as he’s a friend as well.

‘He was a witness at the registry office, as well as being the photographer, we had been chatting before about weddings and stuff’.

‘The vows that nearly never happened because of Nicky Johnston… When it got to that bit, “does anyone here know any reason”, he went: “Well, actually…”

‘We laughed, but the lady went: “Stop the wedding!” and the whole thing ground to a halt’.

Despite the proceedings all being one big joke, the lady conducting the ceremony spilled: ‘I don’t care that you’re joking, this whole thing could be cancelled right now, but I’ll let you carry on. Carry on.’

It nearly all went so wrong!
