A positive outlook is a powerful thing.
People claim that they’ve hoped themselves to health. That it’s the reason for their younger looking skin.
And this 90-year-old woman is proof that living your best life can serve you well into your dotage.
She lives in Moscow and was recently featured on the Humans of New York Facebook page.
And she provided a clear description of her lifestyle.
‘I’m ninety but I feel like I’m fifty,’ she says.
‘I don’t take any medicine. I never complain. I’m just happy to be alive.’
‘Every day I dance for two hours. And I’m still really interesting too. I love politics and literature. I love the sciences. And I’ve got a boyfriend named Alexander. We exchange books. I don’t even know how old he is.’

Her one piece of advice for a good life is: ‘Start with what you have, not with what you want’.
We know that this kind of attitude might be beneficial to overall better health.
LAst year the Nurses’ Health Study published data from 70,021 women dating from 2004 – assessing their levels optimism. They tracked their deaths from 2006 to 2012 and they found that those who were the most optimistic were 29% less likely to die during the six-year study than the least optimistic.
They saw a reduction in the risk of cancer (by 16%), heart disease (28%), stroke (39%), respiratory disease (37%) and infection (52%).
So, get yourself an ageless boyfriend and a devil-may-care attitude, and you might just be as fantastic at 90 as this legend.
