A lucky snapper has caught an incredible picture which shows two amazing weather fronts in one picture.
Usually associated with a fresh spring day, rainbows rarely are seen next to violent thunderstorms.
But that’s what happened for one American photographer.
Josh Ruden was caught on an iPhone but shows a fork of lightening in the Iowan landscape.
Living in the small town of Peosta the 28-year-old was taken aback by the surprise shot.
The graphic designer said: ‘I was driving home from work during a thunderstorm around 8:30pm.
‘I stopped to take a photo of a double rainbow when lightning struck – pure luck.’
Atmospheric as it is dramatic, Ruden’s picture has inspired some to think of it as an album cover.
With the road running into the American farmland, the nature-based photographer has had success before.
Ruden has previously shot a double rainbow.
