Police officers pinned a man to the ground outside Paddington station, after he allegedly tried to attack them with a metal gate.
Video footage shows two officers restraining the unknown man before one describes how he ‘was trying to hit’ them with a ‘big metal gate’, according to The Sun.
British Transport Police have since confirmed the incident is not being treated as terror-related.
The video, which shows the topless tattooed suspect being carried away by the officers, emerged on social media this afternoon.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: ‘Officers were called to Paddington rail station following reports of a man acting suspiciously.
‘The call came into police at 12.33pm today.
‘Officers attended the scene and one man has been arrested on suspicion of public order and for possession an offensive weapon.
‘The man has been taken to a place of safety.’
‘The incident is not being treated as terror related.’
