Olly Murs has apologised for offending football goers and fans with foul language after a video surfaced online.
Footy fan Olly, who’s well known for his love of the sport, was filmed during a recent match calling a friend a ‘c***’ and telling him to ‘f**k off.’
A witness at the stadium Macedonia’s capital Skopje on Tuesday said he swore over 40 times, and told The Sun: ‘Another man also told him to calm down but Olly kept telling him to f*** off and leave him alone.
‘I’m a fan of Olly Murs but he was hardly a celebrity ambassador for his club here.’
However, Olly has since come forward to apologise for his behaviour saying he’d unfortunately got caught up in the moment.
He said: ‘I was away with a group of lads and got carried away.
‘It was out of character. I apologise to anyone I offended.’
Mega football fan Olly annually takes part in Soccer Aid, a charity event which sees a whole host of celebrities and footballing legends compete in the sport.
He is also very vocal about his love for his team Manchester United.
Last year, Olly’s team at Soccer Aid was managed by Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho, which Olly was beyond excited about.
He said at the time: ‘Excited this man is managing us tonight, but even more excited [he is] the new @ManUtd manager.’
Speaking to ITV, he said: ‘I have a fantastic career and I get to do the most amazing things but part of my life – which is a huge part of it – is football.
‘People have seen me play football, but genuinely it’s all I’ve ever done since I was a kid. Forget about music.’
Reps for Olly have been contacted for comment.
