Celebs Go Dating relationship expert Nadia Essex has been forced to confirm she’s still alive after a death hoax circulated following the show’s abrupt cancellation.
The show was pulled from the schedules at the last minute and replaced with Come Dine With Me: Made In Chelsea instead, leaving many fans to scream profanities at the online wind.
Rumours began to circulate over the cause of the cancellation, with one even claiming Nadia Essex had died – forcing the dating expert to confirm she’s still very much alive.
Taking to Twitter, Nadia wrote: ‘NO joke. Coming out of dinner2 twitter saying #CGD was cancelled because I died has really upset me. My poor friends and family.’
In the wake of the London terror attack at Parsons Green, Nadia also added how the rumours were ‘really upsetting after a traumatic day’.
‘Parsons Green is my nearest station so feeling very sensitive ATM,’ Nadia wrote.
‘At first I was laughing by then saw how bad it was once all my tweets and messages came through. They were beside themselves.’
Current show contestant Bobby Norris also chipped in with some confirmation on Twitter, stating she was alive and her fabulous self.
Bobby Norris, wrote: ‘To confirm… regardless of rumours, @LadyNadiaEssex hasn’t died. She is very much alive and fabulous.’
It was recently revealed how Celebs Go Dating was cancelled for ‘editorial reasons’ by E4 – with those reasons however still being unclear.
Celebs Go Dating is set to continue on Monday at 10pm on E4.
