It’s been the will-they-won’t-they question of Strictly Come Dancing 2017 – just what’s going on between Mollie King and AJ Pritchard then?

Because the pair have certainly left everybody wondering whether they might be more than just very close friends – and now it’s been suggested that all the speculation might just be true, amid reports the singer has been ‘secretly romancing’ her partner backstage.

Yup, according to The Sun the pair have been caught snogging during training, despite their denials that they’re simply pals.

‘They have been seen kissing, canoodling and even snogging while training,’ a source said.

‘It’s still very early days and they are not officially dating or in a relationship, but there’s a real chemistry and attraction between them.

‘Everyone is talking about it backstage and they are desperate for them to become a couple.’

However the source added that it was very early days for the couple – and that they were uncertain whether they would take things to the next level and make it official once the series is over.

”He is much younger than her and Mollie tends to go for older, mature men,’ the insider explained.

Speculation over Mollie and AJ’s status has ramped up a notch in recent weeks – thanks to Claudia Winkleman.

Last Saturday’s show saw the pair being urged to ‘kiss’ by the other couples after their Quickstep, with the host declaring: ‘We’d all like it but…OK, we’ll wait until the wrap.’

She also left them blushing on Sunday night’s results show this week during a chat in which Mollie revealed she had put in over 300 hours of dance training with AJ, with Clauds quipping: ‘Very cute. And only half of that time has been spent kissing.’

Could it be she’s been dropping very heavy hints about something all along?

Mollie and AJ will take to the Strictly dancefloor in a bid to reach the final with two routines – a waltz and a samba – this Saturday night.

It all kicks off on BBC One at 6.45pm.
