The Divergent and Whiplash actor was found on Sunday morning by cops and allegedly refused to cooperate; he was reportedly partying with friends in the city when an officer noticed he was ‘having trouble standing on the sidewalk’.

However he later tweeted that he was not arrested as there was ‘no evidence to charge me with a crime’.

TMZ claim that the San Diego police department have confirmed that Teller was arrested and booked for misdemeanor public intoxication. They also took a mug shot.

It was reported that the cops ‘walked up to Miles and started questioning him, but he quickly became uncooperative’.

The city’s police department offer to take drunk citizens to detox centres run by volunteers where someone can stay overnight and sleep off the booze, however Teller allegedly refused.

Plot twist – Teller was then taken to the centre any way where volunteers ultimately decided to refuse to accept Teller.

It was then that the police officers decided to arrest the actor, and he was placed in jail for four hours and was later released without bail.
