A manhunt is under way after a mother and daughter were stabbed to death in north west London.

The Met Police have launched a double murder investigation and are looking for 27-year-old Joshua Cohen in connection with the stabbings.

Family watched as burglar raided their home while they were on holiday 130 miles away

Police described Cohen as white, 5ft 9ins tall with short cropped hair and a short beard/stubble.

He also has mental health issues including paranoid schizophrenia.

Police were called to an address in Golders Green Crescent on Friday at 8.50pm, where they found the two victims, aged 33 and 66.

Detectives believe Cohen knew the women, who both died at the scene.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘He has mental health issues including paranoid schizophrenia and should not be approached by members of the public. Any sightings of Joshua Cohen should be reported to police immediately via 999.’

Cohen recently shaved off his hair and eyebrows and was last seen wearing a red Nike hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the chest. He was also wearing white trainers and dark grey trousers or tracksuit bottoms.

Formal identification of the victims has yet to take place, but police are confident they know the identify of the women, whose next of kin have been informed.
