Liverpool fans have been sent into meltdown after the club store seemed to confirm Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona.
The Brazilian playmaker has issued Liverpool with a transfer request as Coutinho attempts to force his way out of the club, despite the Reds insisting he will not be sold for any price.
Barcelona have seen two bids knocked back by Liverpool, but the Spanish side is expected to make a third offer now that Coutinho has agitated for the move.
‘Close’ family members to Coutinho have claimed that the Liverpool star is desperate to leave and has become frustrated with his relationship with Jurgen Klopp.
Speculation is at a fever pitch and the Liverpool store has now added further fuel to the flames by taking Coutinho down from their window display.
It’s unclear exactly where the store is, but judging by the fact Coutinho is donning the third kit for the 2017/18 season, it is feasible the change is recent.
