London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the Croatian, who joined Inter in 2015.

But Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio insists Perisic is a key part of the club’s long-term project and won’t be leaving for the foreseeable future.

‘I do not think it is either Perisic’s or our intentions for him to leave,’ he said.

‘He is part of a massive project and we do not want to sell our players.
