Harry Styles and his foul language is the sole reason Dunkirk is a 12A.

The film was originally intended to be a PG, but as Harry couldn’t have a control of his tongue the film had to be upgraded to compensate for him turning the air blue.

The 23-year-old said he dropped the F-bomb twice during filming, which is what made the film cross the threshold into a 12A rating as he said director Christopher Nolan enjoyed his ‘natural’ reaction to the scene.

Harry confessed: ‘Chris [Nolan] makes this world that makes you react so naturally.

‘You do not feel like you have to act that much as he makes it really instinctive.’

He added: ‘And you get carried away. He makes it easy to be immersed in it.’

New actor Harry has confessed through that this might be his one and only time on screen.

Speaking to press at the red carpet at the premiere for Dunkirk, he revealed that he considers himself ‘very lucky’ to be part of a cast and crew including Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, and Christopher Nolan but he may have peaked too soon.

‘I’m thinking, what am I doing?’ he said.

‘I feel very lucky to be a part of Dunkirk. I’d do this one again but it may be one and done – I’d do this one again. I really enjoyed this. I’ve peaked too soon! There’s nowhere to go.’

He also confessed he’d become emotional watching his performance back for the first time.

He told Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1: ‘The first time I watched it, because I hadn’t seen anything and how he’d put the story together, I was more watching to see how the story was, and when I watched it at the premiere in London it got me a couple of times.

‘There were a couple of emotional bits but I didn’t know if I was allowed to cry at a film I’m in, but yeah it was really emotional.’
