Warning: Contains spoilers for Game Of Thrones season seven.
Game Of Thrones fans believe they’ve solved the case of who’s playing Rhaegar Targaryen, aka the likely father of Jon Snow.
While Rhaegar died before events in the series, the brother of Daenerys has an important role to fulfil considering he could be the connecting tissue between the Mother Of Dragons and Jon Snow – potentially having huge ramifications in the power-play of the show.
It’s widely believed we’ll be meeting Rhaegar this season in another Bran flashback, with many fans thinking they’ve pinned down the actor who could be playing him via some social media stalking.
So who could it be? Reddit user Twerk4Christ has come up some convincing evidence actor Wilf Scolding could be playing the deceased Tagaryen.
Warning: the Twitter stalking is about to get pretty intense.
According to the post, Wilf gained a Twitter follow from the actress who plays Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi) back in September last year, which coincides with when season seven would have been filmed.
Wilf then also returned said follow to Aisling, along with the Game Of Thrones official account and actor Liam Cunningham who plays Ser Davos.
In the books, Rhaegar is also described as tall and handsome with silver-gold hair and dark lilac eyes – not exactly a far cry from this impressive specimen of a face.
It’s perhaps significant he’s only followed Aisling too, as it’s likely Rhaegar will only show up in a small wedding scene without the rest of the main cast.
So is this our Rhaegar? We’ll simply have to wait until Bran goes all Three Eyed Raven again.
Game Of Thrones season seven continues on HBO Sunday, on Sky Atlantic on Mondays in the UK at 9pm. You can catch-up on Now TV.
