Emma Banville’s dramatic and dangerous search for the truth comes to a head in the finale of Fearless.
Helen McCrory’s character continues to trawl her way through cases, even though she has been rocked to the core by Kevin’s death in hospital, and her evidence falls on death ears.
Matthew is still lurking and is worried about how much Emma knows, but Heather puts the shady character’s mind at ease.
Elsewhere DCS Greenwood tracks down the mother of Rachel Leigh, Linda’s friend and the last person known to see her alive. Visiting her in a nursing home in London, Emma visits her in a nursing home, hoping that might be able to give her the final piece of the puzzle.
But Emma thinks she’s being followed and her life is in danger, and there’s a chance that the truth could stay buried.
Star Jamie Bamber, who plays MP Matthew, has teased that fans will have their burning questions answered in the final episode of the series.
But he warned that Emma might not be the same after the shocking events unfold.
Talking to Metro.co.uk about the finale, he said: ‘Fans will be on the edge of their seats. They will not feel cheated. I don’t think they will feel like they have been overly manipulated, it is quite honest storytelling, and I think their questions will be answered.
‘Whether the character of Emma will be complete as a result, I’m not sure. It’s someone who has gone through this process and is not made stronger by it. It’s a difficult thing to go through, to have everything that you do challenged, watched and second-guessed.
‘The character will emerge as problematic and challenged as ever.’
