Their tit for tat feud started off as relatively harmless – unless you’re a car of course – with Ross Barton and Robert Sugden almost enjoying going to war with each other. But in the wake of Robert and his husband Aaron Dingle coming across the drugs at Butler’s Farm, things are about to turn very serious indeed in Emmerdale.
With Robron having crushed Ross’ taxi, he hit back by stealing Robert’s car and Robert was seething when Ross refused to hand it back until Robert coughed up the cash to replace the lost cab. Adam Barton – who was enjoying the battle more than anyone – gave his mates a lifeline by handing over Ross’ phone, which led Robert and Aaron to the farm.
As the pair watched Ross and his brother Finn behave shifty as hell, they broke into the house and discovered the weed plantation. Robert’s eyes lit up and he couldn’t believe the leverage he now has on Ross but as he and Aaron set out to destroy the weed unless Ross returns the car, little do any of them realise the severity of the situation that is about to unfold.
As Ross races to stop his enemies, who are having a great time getting under his skin and are shredding up the plants in a wood chipper, Finn is cornered by the dealers who actually own the cannabis – and they want their drugs back, or else!
As Finn goes with them to track the plants down, a case of mistaken identity unfolds and they run Emma’s car off the road, believing Ross to be inside.
A struggle then ensues and someone caught in the crossfire is stabbed by one of the dealers.
As a horrified Finn rushes to the aid of the victim, will they survive or has Robert and Ross’ game of cat and mouse ended in tragedy for one villager?
Emmerdale continues on Tuesday 20th June at 7pm with an hour long episode on ITV.
