If you’re anything like me, you like tattoos on other people but are too indecisive to get one yourself.

Now, I’ve been lusting after a dainty, but fairly large floral watercolour tattoo for over a year now, but I’m still not convinced it’s a wise lifelong investment.

It seems a bit Pinterest. Like, I may as well have the Pinterest logo tattooed on my forearm.

And Ed Sheeran’s tattoo artist has just convinced me to never get it.

Speaking to Huffington Post, Kevin Paul warned against getting trendy tatts.

‘I often tell people not to have fashion tattoos, as they’re the ones people always regret,’ he said.

That’s my floral dream out the window then.

When asked about the biggest inking trend of 2017, he said it was probably mandalas.

Now, obviously we were way ahead of the curve, giving you mandala tattoo inspiration back in January, so…*dusts shoulder*

But obviously if you’re looking for unique ink, maybe steer clear of the mandala.

As well as Ed Sheeran, Kevin Paul also counts Harry Styles, Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and…Dappy from N-Dubz as clients, so you could say he’s a celeb fave.

One thing we will say is, whatever design you choose, if you’re not 100% about it now, you definitely won’t be in 2018.

So, pick wisely, my child. And maybe avoid any off this list.

Otherwise, you best hope laser tattoo removal gets cheaper.
