The Tottenham star’s brother, Mitchell Rose is a midfielder at the Welsh club, but was guilty of giving away a last minute penalty with the game level at 2-2.

Newport blew a 2-0 lead against Cambridge United and referee Mark Heywood was in doubt when he pointed to the spot after Rose’s foul in the box in the 90th minute.

Rose furiously protested his innocence but he could not convince Heywood to keep his cards in his pocket.

Heywood brandished the red at an angry Rose who slapped the referee’s hand sending the card to the ground.

Cambridge scored the penalty to win the game 3-2 to complete remarkable comeback.

Rose could now face further punishment for his reaction and may be hit with a misconduct charge.

It could lengthen his suspension and add further misery to a terrible day for the Englishman.
