Coronation Street is planning a huge wedding drama next year for Sinead Tinker and Chesney Brown – and as the on/off couple prepare to tie the knot, Daniel Osbourne looms, seemingly intent on destroying everything.

The cast have been spotted arriving for filming in the ruthless winter weather dressed for the occasion although Sam Aston was unavailable for the scenes due to illness. The actor plays Chesney, who has his heart set on a happy ending with Sinead and his son Joseph.

Unfortunately for Ches, this seems to be in jeopardy as Sinead can’t shake off her feelings for her ex Daniel – in coming episodes, she will find herself more torn than ever before when Daniel tries to kiss her.

There is no denying that Sinead carries a torch still for Daniel but she is trying her best to make things work with Chesney, appreciating the stability of family life and respecting Ches for his dedication to his son.

But at the moment, Sinead is struggling to cope with Joseph as she has been left responsible for most of his care while Chesney works two jobs. And Daniel is waiting on the sidelines to swoop in and cause heartache for the kebab constructing local.

Katie McGlynn was seen arriving in a waterproof coat to protect her wedding getup from the rain although a floral headpiece of sorts was on show. Guests turning up included Roy Cropper, Tyrone Dobbs, Kirk Sutherland, Sophie Webster and Dev Alahan.

The were also joined by the likes of Cathy Matthews, Craig Tinker and Sally Metcalfe.

The actors were smiling and enthusiastic as they joined the location shoot for the wedding scenes, despite them being notoriously long and slow days due to the complexities of involving so many cast members.

Whether or not the day will herald a happy ending for the bride and groom is a closely guarded secret but by the time the scenes air, Sinead will have a major decision to make – and the situation is tipped to be even more complicated than it is now.
