Sally Metcalfe’s world is rocked when she is given the devastating news that her cancer has returned in Coronation Street. As she is left reeling and terrified by the revelation, a further shock lies in store when she then discovers that she has been the victim of a disgusting prank.
The drama unfolds when she does a radio interview with Jenny Bradley as they promote the mastectomy bras in development at Underworld. As Sally opens up about her cancer battle, her loved ones listen with pride and Sally is glad to be making a difference.
But later in the day, she gets a call from the hospital saying that her latest mammogram shows that her cancer has returned and as she breaks down in tears, Tim does his best to comfort her, floored by the devastating turn of events.
Later, though, Rosie and Sophie make a shocking discovery when they find the recording of her phone conversation with the hospital has been posted online.
Realising that it was all a nasty lie and she has been the victim of a cruel prank, Sally can’t believe it and is sickened. As she tells Tim about the trolling she has been subjected to online recently, he is furious to realise how far it has gone and insists that Sally deletes her accounts.
As Sally is unnerved by the latest lengths her sick troll has gone to, what will they have in store for her next – and who is behind the nasty campaign?
