Manolo Gabbiadini’s superb volley on the turn completed a fantastic turnaround for Southampton against Manchester United and it was not just Saints players who were celebrating.
Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah was in awe of the Southampton striker’s finishing as he silenced the United side of Wembley by grabbing his second goal of the EFL Cup final.
Southampton fought back from 2-0 down after seeing a goal wrongly ruled offside in the tenth minute.
With Chelsea set to face United in the quarter-final of the FA Cup next month, Chalobah could not help but rave about Gabbiadini’s finishing.
Chalobah knows more the most about Gabbiadini’s talents having played alongside the forward while on loan at Napoli in 2015.
Gabbiadini has been an instant success at Southampton after joining in January with five goals already for his new club.
