Chelsea sent scouts to watch Andrea Conti in action for Atalanta over the weekend ahead of a possible summer transfer move, reports say.

The Blues are keen to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad at the end of the season and have already begun the process of drawing up a list of targets.

Atalanta’s Franck Kessie has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge – and Gazzetta dello Sport say Chelsea has scouts at the Serie A club’s win over Crotone on Saturday.

However, the Premier League leaders were watching right-back Conti rather than Ivorian star Kessie.

Conti has flourished this season in Italy, playing 23 games to help Atalanta climb to fifth in Serie A. The Italian has also contributed four goals – including the winner against Crotone.
