Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs interested in a transfer move for Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka this summer as he nears the end of his contract.
The 22-year-old has shone in the Bundesliga in recent years, showing himself to be the latest in a long line of top young talents coming through in German football.
Reports claim Arsenal are joined by Juventus in tracking Goretzka, whose current contract with Schalke is due to expire at the end of next season.
The Gunners could certainly do with more steel in midfield next season after some unconvincing displays from Francis Coquelin and summer signing Granit Xhaka this term.

According to Bild, Arsenal are keeping an eye on Goretzka’s situation as he could move on the cheap this summer due to his contract situation.
The Germany international would likely cost somewhere in the region of £16million – less than half what Arsenal were reported as paying Borussia Monchengladbach for Xhaka.
