Jose Mourinho named Michael Carrick as his captain at Blackburn Rovers but it was another Manchester United star who was seen displaying his leadership skills before the side completed their comeback.
The Red Devils were far from convincing at Ewood Park until a 75th-minute goal from substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic secured them a place in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
However, United were up against it after Danny Graham’s opener in the 17th minute, with Owen Coyle’s men flying out the blocks in the first-half of the fifth round clash.
Marcus Rashford found an equaliser just before the half-hour mark but Mourinho’s side still had a lot of work to do against their Championship opposition.
‘Come on! It’s going to be difficult… 45 minutes. Come on!’ Herrera was spotted saying to his team-mates in the tunnel at the break as Carrick and Chris Smalling looked on.
Despite coming away victorious from Ewood Park, it wasn’t all good news for United as they drew Chelsea away in the next round of the competition.
The quarter-finals of the cup will take place from March 10th to 13th.
