Alexandre Lacazette has talked up his partnership with Anthony Martial after the duo impressed in France’s 2-2 draw with Germany on Tuesday evening.
The Manchester United forward set up Lacazette’s opening goal with a sublime assist, while the Arsenal striker scored his second of the evening after he combined with Kylian Mbappe.
Both Lacazette and Martial are battling for a place in France’s World Cup squad next summer, but Arsenal’s club-record signing believes he is capable of leading the line alongside his rival at United.
Asked what his relationship with Martial and Kylian Mbappe is like, Lacazette said after the match: ‘Very good, as it is in training.
‘We get along well, they are quality players, so it’s easy to get along with these kind of players.
‘The coach [Didier Deschamps] gave us the freedom to occupy the three areas offensively and defensively.
‘He told us that he saw no problem in changing the initial situation.’
